Cross Country

It was just moments away from our annual occasion and I was prepared and also excited from what position I would probably come in. I also was so excited to run the course
As my age group was getting prepared for the most devastating event, we stretched but also was we were hoping that were wouldn’t be wearing mud as we would run the cross country.
Splash went the mud as I ran past, but with me thinking I was going to sink in quicksand. When I was struggling to run through the squishy, gravy mud, I struggled to balance but not to sink in quicksand.
As I ran through the entire bath of mud, My shoes were encapsulated and sucked in by such a thick layer of a spongy mattress but then suddenly I ran without a shoe. I barely made it past the quicksand but my shoe was overloaded with a lot gooey gravy.
As I was jogging through the bath full of gooey, gravy mud, I was keeping my pace so that I made sure for no one to straight past me.
For us twelve and thirteen year old kids, we had to run an extra length and I thought to myself that I would probably stop but I kept pushing myself.

As I was reaching the finish line by passing the second to last cone, there was a wonderful feeling in me as if I was reborn again.  It was a huge relief for me getting closer and closer to the finish line.
Then the time came for when I crossed the line with burning feet and with my lungs desperately searching for oxygen. I reckon that it was a sense of an a achievement with a medal winning effort placing in second.

I felt so relieved about my position( 2ND place) because I never thought I would have ever made it in the top ten, five or three to go to the eastern zone cross country but I’ve got to say is go MATATUA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jamel Herring

As you can see I've put together a little animation about Jamel Herring. The reason why a created a little animation is because that it was a task for the 2012 Olympics that Jamel Herring would be competing in. Also in my classroom we had to choose a athlete but also create an animation about them. The athlete that I have chosen is Jamel Herring so sit back and enjoy.

Mahe Drysdale

In the finals of the men’s rowing, there was a closely fought battle. Mahe Drysdale, a New Zealand rower made it in the finals of the 2000m rowing. Mahe Drysdale had made an excellent start and an outstanding finish.

Bang goes the gun at the start of the race and the rowers are off. Mahe Drysdale didn’t lead the race all the way but he managed to hang in there.  Years of sweat and toil, Mahe Drysdale had just past the half way mark and the crowd went wild but also there was a huge roar of cheering. Mahe Drysdale was working desperately to capture that medal and as he was close to the finish line, It was a huge relief that Mahe Drysdale had came from fourth to first. He was leading by a far lead and we could tell that he wanted that gold medal.

Mahe Drysdale crossed the line ahead of everyone and what was coming from the crowd was a huge roar. He slapped the water thinking it was a magic moment but unfortunately for the other rowers, they worked so desperately to capture that gold medal for themselves. It was a closely fought battle as the rowers were announced first, second and third place.

It was such a magic moment for New Zealander Mahe Drysdale because he had crossed the line with such a relief and most people in the crowd were cheering for him but as they cheered, he had just made new zealand history.  As he was hopping off his canoe, he collapsed on the pontoon exhausted. We had known that he had given it all he’s got and that he would do anything to keep the crowd cheering. He raised his arms with happiness while there was a huge roar of cheering.

I was so amazed when the New Zealander Mahe Drysdale for when I had just witnessed a magic moment of a New Zealand history moments. I reckoned that most of New Zealand had celebrated for he served his country and won. New Zealand would have been nothing without him "So thank you Mahe Drysdale"!

What I learnt At Life Education!

The things I've learnt During life education hours for three weeks was mainly about making the right choice. What I first learnt in the first week when I went to life education with my classroom, was that making a bad or good choice leads to negative or positive consequences. One thing that I found most interesting was that how you could change your life and make a difference from who you really are.
The second week was about body parts and how they digest food and liquid, also that is about making the right choices of how we could treat our body correctly.  I learnt about the large intestines and why they are so important. One of the things that I learnt about the large intestines was that why the faeces
( poo) are brown. It is because of all the dead blood cells that mix with in the poo or wasted food.
Last week we learnt about making a bad choice of smoking and that it will lead to a very effective and negative consequence later on in life. The consequence could be many things like removing a body part or many different types of cancers.  Also the large intestines squashes and squeezes then passes the liquid to the small intestines for getting ready to urinate but as for the rest, it turns into faeces( poo).
This week I'm hoping to learn something exciting and interesting but not to interesting.
